Software reviews

What the software is actually like to run

Reviews of the systems in our directory, written from the supplier's own material, the public evidence and hands-on use where we have it. Each one says what was tested, what was not, and who the product does not suit. No vendor pays for a review and none sees it before publication.

Warehouse management system (WMS)

Descartes Peoplevox review

A warehouse-first WMS for brands running their own site, with published pricing, a defined implementation window and support that behaves like a partnership. This review covers what it does, what it costs, where it is strong, and the questions its own website leaves unanswered.

· 12 min read · Verdict: A mature, warehouse-first WMS with the rare virtue of published pricing, and the one I would put in front of a growing D2C brand.

Product information management (PIM)

OneSila review

A multichannel product-information platform with a genuinely useful quality score and a Kanban workflow. It is aimed at sellers whose catalogue, not their warehouse, is the bottleneck. This is what it does well, what remains unproven, and who should not buy it.

· 9 min read · Verdict: Promising, well focused, and not yet proven in a demanding live operation.

How these reviews are written

  • Every review names its evidence and the date it was read, and says plainly what was not tested.
  • Vendor claims are attributed to the vendor and never repeated as though we had measured them.
  • The verdict is written, not scored. A number invites comparison between products that solve different problems.
  • No paid inclusion, no affiliate links and no referral arrangement. If that ever changes, it will be marked on the review.
